Seeds of this species are eaten by Glossy Black Cockatoos (scheduled as vulnerable). 3 birds of this species were eating seeds of the voucher specimen while it was being collected. Habitat Gentle S slope on flat plateau. Heath vegetation dominated by Allocasuarina distyla. Wth. A. nana, Darwinia taxifolia, Hakea pachyphylla, Pultenaea sp., Dillwynia phylicoides, epacrids, Boronoa floribunda etc. Thin pale sandy soil on sandstone.
