Locality Cape Barren Island, Bass Strait. About 1.640 km at 285.25 degrees from the summit of Chimney Hill. Between Rooks River Road and the old table drain; lower northern slope of Petticoat Hill.
Habitat In a narrow strip, missed by the fire of October 2006, between the southern edge of Rooks River Road and the old table drain. The shrubs are Leptospermum scoparium, Hakea teretifolia, Allocasuarina monilifera, Banksia marginata, Acacia genistifolia, Melaleuca gibbosa, Epacris impressa, Leucopogon squamatus and two many-stemmed Acacia suaveolens rising to 75 cm. The four herbs included Patersonia fragilis and Leptocarpus tenax. The nearest eucalypt is a [Eucalyptus] nitida, tillering since the fire. Hakea decurrens subsp. platytaenia is just uphill from the site.
