Field notes Tubers measured: 5.8 x 0.8 cm, 5.2 x 0.7 cm, 2.6 x 0.8 cm. (Some broken ones 0.7 - 0.8 cm wide would have been longer than 5.8 cm.). Leaves emergent, erect, slightly out-curved, standing well above the water surface, both longer and shorter than the stems. Fruits mostly with 3 or 4 carpels ripened. Leaf sheaths very broad, and overlapping around the spongy semi-cylindrical centre.
