Field notes | Dense branching cactus, cladodes terete, to c. 3cm diameter, some slightly flattened, segments to 12cm long. Red fruit terminal. Tuberous root stock. Spines extremely sharp, easily attaching to clothes and flesh. Stems very brittle at cladode articulations. |
