Occurrence remarks Sedge. Culms to 30 cm high, young culms erect but older ones parallel with the ground and to 1.05 m long. Young leaves and stems mid green older ones yellow-green. Leaf margins with retrose yellowish prickles. Locally abundant (over about 400 , from Polblue camping area to this location, 1000s of plants). Sample collected for DNA study, 10 Jan 2011.

Supplied as "Landform: 0-10 degree slopes. Substrate: basalt. Soil: chocolate brown krasnozem. Vegetation: growing amongst (commonly through) Pos sieberiana Spreng. var. sieberiana tussocks, some young Cytisus scoparius (L.) Link plants present as this area was at one time dominated by C. scoparius; other plants present include Viola sp. (small species with small flowers), Helichrysum scorpioides Labill., Euchiton sp. and Ajuga australis R. Br. (prostrate form)."
