Occurrence remarks Herb to 60 cm high. Branches long and trailing. Leaves initially in a basal rosette, a few plants with basal leaves and flowering stems but at flowering stage. plants often without basal leaves and with enlarged tap root. Stems reddish. Leaves green, paler below, with short stout hairs more common below. Basal leaves dissected into 3 but the lower 2 dissections soon dissected again, these dissections deeply dissected once more. Stem leaves dissected into 3 and then dissected again. Petioles of rosette leaves with long white hairs. Flowers in pairs, each with 5 pink petals c. 10 mm long, each with 3 white longitudinal broad veins joined at base and not reaching tip of petals. Calyx c. 8 mm long, with 5 segments mostly joined and with long simple white hairs and shorter white but pink gland-tipped hairs. This species was also seen in flower on 6 October 2000. >20 flowering plants and many more younger plants.
