Occurrence remarks Locally common (> 100 plants) herb to 30 cm high. Stems a paler green than leaves, hairs on stems spreading and white. Leaves dark green with white spreading hairs that are most obvious on margins and below. Most florets with a purple ligule, some internal florets tubular, yellow with 5 small brown lobes. Cypselas with vertical facial ribbing and hairy from base to tip. Digital images with J.R.Hosking.
