Field notes Leaves: to 25 mm wide, plano-complex changing to flattened toward the apex; deep glossy green above, paler cream- green beneath; some bending abruptly at water surfaceto float on it, others erect or emerging at the surface then looping back so that distal portions float. Stems: cream to green, not maroon-red; rachis and pedicels also. Rhizomes: buried 15-20 cm below soil surface; Tubers: to 30 cm below surface. Note: elongated styles on one inflorescence.
