Occurrence remarks | Weed. Erect branched or unbranched herbs with fleshy stems to 80 cm tall. Stems green with reddish nodes. Leaves discolorous, grey-green below. Petioles reddish green. Lower leaves deciduous. Reproductive plants with a cluster of leaves forming involucral bracts below terminal inflorescences of mixed male and female flowers. Females flowers and immature capsules green. Collected as part of the Northern Australia Quarantine Strategy. This specimen has been treated with ethanol for preservation and quarantine purposes. |
