| Occurrence remarks | Ascending to somewhat lax herb to 15 cms. Leaves reduced to scales with stems terete and very rush-like. Flowers small and yellow. Cocci dumbell-like and with a wrinkled surface. |

| Habitat | Low dense sedgeland on the border of an open eucalypt woodland on sandstone. Sedgeland largely cleared and lashed. Canopy dominated by Eucalyptus sieberi and Corymbia gummifera. Understorey characterised by Hakea sp., Leptospermum sp., Isopogon sp., Persoonia sp., and Banksia spinulosa with an occasional clumping of Sticherus flabellatus. Groundlayer largely dominated by sedges and restion with some forbs and herbs present including Thysanotus tuberosus, Blandfordia nobilis, Stylidium sp., Goodenia sp., Xyris sp., Haemodorum sp., Selaginella sp., and Actinotus minor. |
