Supplied as "Abundant on margin of lake in damp ground flooded over during high water levels. 1 000 or more plants, growing on fine muddy silt and pumice. Most common on recently exposed lake bed but also found amongst Carex cirrhosa, Centipeda cunninghamii, Lachnagrostis filiformis, and under a sparse Salix cinerea cover. Partially submerged plants also noted growing amongst Eleocharis sphacelata."
