Occurrence remarks Occasional naturalised small tree to 3 m tall at present. Bark golden brown and smooth. Small branches contorted. Leaf margins with teeth 1.5-3 mm apart. Same as J.R. Hosking 1617 which had female catkins and was identified as Salix matsudana by S. Jacobs on 20 November 1998.
