Field notes Tall herb with scape to 1.8 m high. Scape terete, moderate green with a slight waxy bloom. Flowers urn-shaped. Tepals lilac coloured; style and filaments exserted, white; anthers yellow. Leaves moderate green but they were almost dead when plant collected. Bulb subglobose, broad-obovoid to 55 mm broad. Bulb producing a few bulbils on a lateral root. The plant has a strong garlic odour.
