Occurrence remarks Leaves dark green above, light green beneath; +/- double convex below but grading to flattened over the outer half or more; sheaths overlapping. Thick rhizomes; very small food-storage tubers; fruits with 6 carpels, the carpels strongly rounded on the outer side of the apex giving the whole fruit a squat and +/- truncate appearance. SPIRIT ALSO AT MEL.
