Occurrence remarks Locally frequent (over 100 plants) herb to 45 cm high but generally spreading over ground at lower heights. Ray florets pale purple and darkening to dark purple as they become older and roll up; disc florets yellow. Leaves, stems and involucral bracts glabrous. Base of leaves whitish and constricted at stem leaf junction. Specimen cited in Short, P.S. & Hosking, J.R. (2000) Telopea 8: 407-411.

Supplied as "C. 45 degree north west facing slope. Serpentinite substrate. Skeletal brown loam and a lot of serpentinite gravel. Eucalyptus sp. (unnamed - previously confused with E. macrorhyncha F.Muell. ex Benth.) woodland growing with Aristida ramosa R.Br. var. ramosa, Themeda australis (R.Br.) Stapf, Lepidosperma laterale R.Br. s. lat., Senecio lautus Forster f. ex Willd. subsp. dissectifolius Ali and Cheilanthes sieberi subsp. sieberi."
