Occurrence remarks Locally abundant (>1000 naturalised trees with many 1000s of seedlings at this time) deciduous tree to 5 m high. Bark initially smooth and green but grooved and grey with age. Leaves pinnate, slightly paler below, veins weakly impressed on upper surface, lower surface with more prominent raised herring-bone venation. Pods c. 16 cm long and 0.9 cm wide. Seeds 6-9 mm long, 3.5-4.5 mm wide, with white papery wings, seed and wings c. 22 mm long and c. 7 mm wide. This species is also a problem at Kyogle, Nymbin, Alstonville and Ballina.
