Field notes Large spreading shrub, ca. 4 metres high x 5-6 metres across. Plant with two trunks that arise near the ground. Bark smooth, grey. Phyllodes dark-green, dull. Petals yellow with red markings. Flowers slightly sweetly scented.

Associated species: Prostanthera spinosa, Tetrarrhena juncea, Correa aemula, Spyridium parvifolium, Pteridium esculentum, Lepidosperma laterale var. majus, Lomandra longifolia, Marianthus bignoniaceus, Howittia sp aff trilocularis, Hakea rostrata, Hibbertia riparia, Epacris impressa. Plant growing immediately above road embankment, beside old rotting log."
