Field notes Much-branched ascending herb; stems and leaves bright green; flowers 2-3 cm diameter; ligules white, to 9 x 3.5 mm; tubular florets yellow, regular, (4-)5 lobed, the tube more or less compressed and angular below, developed downwards into a short skirt around top of ovary; achenes shiny dark reddish brown with prominent white ribs.
Occurrence remarks Punnet of seedlings originally purchased from Safeway Supermarket, Middle Brighton, as Chrysanthemum paludosum. Does not key out easily in Flora Europaea but this name seems best fit. Vic. Ref. Set only.
