Occurrence remarks Locally frequent (1000s over 1000s of square metres) prostrate herb. Plants in this area at this time mainly spreading via white rhizomes with appressed white hairs (there has been no rain in the last 15 days and soil is mostly crumbling. but still with some deep cracks). Leaves kidney-shaped, glabrous above and with scattered white hairs below (drying out at this time but still flat). Pedicels and petioles arising in groups along the rhizomes. Fruit on reflexed pedicels and below soil surface at this time. Pedicels mostly white (green towards fruit) with white hairs. Fruit dark purple with paler longitudinal streaks and covered in white hairs, appearing to be single. or in pairs within the calyx, globular fruit (or is this sections of fruit?) to 3 mm wide. Same species as, and collected about 100 m from where, J. R. Hosking 2362 was collected on 14.ix.2003.
