Occurrence remarks The Marine Algae Lord Howe Island. The type collection is listed on page 340 of Kraft & Olsen-Stojkovich (1985), Avrainvillea calithina (sic.) (Udoteaceae, Bryopsidales), a new green alga from Lord Howe Island, NSW, Australia. Phycologia 24: 339-345. The specimen is part ofThe type collection cited on p. 221 in Kraft (2007), Marine Benthic Algae of Lord Howe Island and the southern Great Barrier Reef, 1. Green Algae. The orthographic error (calithina) is corrected (to calathina) on page 609 of Kraft (2000), Marine and Estuarine Benthic Green Algae (Chlorophyta) of Lord Howe Island, South-western Pacific. Australian Systematic Botany 13: 509-648.
