Occurrence remarks Stolons submerged; leaves floating; flowers bright yellow, emergent, with 5 fringed, winged but not keeled, lobes. Long-styled plants only and no seeds appear to be setting; incipient fruits just decaying. Corolla span 28-33 mm. Common. Seen for Flora of Australia by H.I. Aston, Nov 2002.

Supplied as "In 20-30 cm fresh clear water over pebbly red loamy-sand in disused, shallow road quarry. Water appears near-permanent, at least in a much deeper section in the quarry corner, so that plants appear perennials or at least long-established."
