Field notes Densely caespitose, shortly rhizomatous, forming tussock ca. 100 cm across. Older leaf sheaths dark brown, newer leaf sheaths reddish brown. Leaves more or less equal to inflorescence, mid green. Culms mid green with brown bracts. Inflorescence brown.
