Occurrence remarks Specimen from 2 plants c. 30 m apart. Location above is flowering specimen, growing through dead Ligustrum sinense to 1.7 m high, at base of igneous scree slope, on edge of flat above normal flood level. Leaf specimen, prostrate (at 31.714710 s 152.356551 e), top of stream bank, above flood height. Area cleared of 1.3 m Ligustrum sinense regrowth & seedlings during Sep-Nov 2013. Prostrate plant grazed in the past 7 days, larger leaf specimen came inside Trema aspera protection cage, smaller leaves from outside. Spec.# 4. [Ex BIS 18783]

Habitat Cover storey nil - open to sky. Nearby dominant cover storey to 30 m includes Acacia irrorata subsp. velutinella, A. maidenii, A. melanoxylon. Saplings include Acmena smithii, Cryptocarya glaucescens, Diploglottis australis, Melia azedarach, Myrsine howittiana, Polyscias sambucifolia, Trema aspera, Tristaniopsis laurina. Shrubs breynia oblongifolia, Pittosporum multiflorum. Vines Rubus moluccanus var. moluccanus, Zehneria cunninghamii. Herbs Centella asiatica, Commelina cyanea, Dichondra repens, Gahnia aspera, Geranium solanderi, Gymnostachys anceps, Hydrocotyle tripartita, Pratia purpurescens, Pseuderanthemum variable, Solanum prinophyllum & S. sulphureum. Southerly aspect. Top of 3rd order stream bank. Igneous scree, basalt loam.
