Occurrence remarks 4 clumps (largest c. 3 m x 2 m), one clump c. 50 m down slope from roadway and into bush. Herb to 3 m high. Vertical stems arise from stems that layer and root across the ground. Inflorescence a terminal spike. Calyx with 5 lobes, one larger than other 4, upper parts of lobes same colour as corolla. Corolla purple, tube c. 1.5 cm long, lower lip cup-like, upper lip qith 4 lobes and some darker purple spots, outer surface with a few sessile red dot-like glands. Staminal filaments twisted and same colour as corolla. Stigma and style same colour as corolla.

Supplied as "Landform: 0-20 degree slopes. Substrate: sandstone. Soil: brown loamy sand. Vegetation: growing in Syncarpia glomerulifera (Sm.) Nied. and Allocasuarina torulosa (Aiton) L.A.S. Johnson forest mostly on edge where growing with plectranthus verticillatus (L. f.) Druce (J.R. Hosking 2216 & C.H. Barker), Ehrharta erecta Lam. and Sida rhombifolia L.; area is native forest over road from houses and has had garden waste dumped in the area previously."
