Occurrence remarks Straggling open sparsely ramified shrub to 1 m tall. Stems reddish green developing ridged reddish brown bark, covered with short white hairs. Leaves bright green, entire margins, elliptic to ovate, reddish pungent tip, covered in short white hairs and in whorls of 3. Flowers axillary and shortly pedicellate. Bracteoles narrow obovate , reddish or yellowish green; calyx reddish or yellowish green with short white hairs; corolla very faint mauve to white, base of abaxial lobe with fuchsia spots becoming orange inside throat; stamens with pale mauve filaments and connective, blue pollen sacs and white pollen; staminodes with white filaments covered with orange stripes, and pollen sacs pale mauve and white; pistil white.
