Occurrence remarks Locally rare tall sedge to ~50cm. Scattered plants observed along ledge systems approx. 10m down from cliff top with perhaps >100 individuals along ~200m of cliffline. Seed and vegetative material collected from 1 plant only.

Plants growing out of mossy deposits on ledge systems on cliff and in small, protected cave on cliff face. With Wahlenbergia sp. Mt Merino, Parsonsia tenuis, Coronidium telfordii, Gaultheria viridicarpa subsp merinoensis, Poa sieberiana, Euphrasia bella. Soils peaty deposits on rhyolite. Potentially threatened by climate change."
