Occurrence remarks Locally dominant understory shrub with few to many stems branching from base, 0.6-2.0 m high. Flower buds pale green. Calyx green. Petals white on inside, pale green outside. Staminal filaments white, anthers cream. Disk maroon. Ovary green, style dull white. Leaves discolorous.

Supplied as "River bank: alluvial sand amongst sandstone boulders. Riparian thicket dominated by Tristaniopsis laurina; also with Stenocarpus salignus, Acacia elata, Glochidion ferdinandi, Backhousia myrtifolia, Allocasuarina littoralis, Lomatia myricoides. Shrubby understory dominated by Leionema."
