Organism remarks | (i) brown cap covered in glistening fibrillose scales; (ii) bright yellow from gills; (iii) long spindling stem covered in longitudinal white fibrils pileus up to 30 mm diameter; flat convex with thin, entire margin but fringed with crystalline fibrils at least when young; surface dry densely covered with glistening clusters of fibrils tending to recurved squamules near margin; brown (but initially whitish due to dense covering of fibrils). Lamellae adnexed, to 5 mm deep; closely spaced edge smooth and entire; intense tan maturing to bright yellow-brown. Lamellules abundant. Stipe up to 90 x 4 mm; cylindric/spindly; hollow; surface dry, longitudinally slky white fibrillose (entire length). Partial veil thick white fibrillose, not leaving trace on mature stem. Spore print: pale print, orange-brown Macrochemical Tests: 15% KOH test darker brown on cap Mode of Life: unknown Odour: not distinctive. |
