Occurrence remarks | Erect, openly branched shrub to 2.5 m tall, branching bifurcate. Stems mostly naked, leafy along apical 3-10 cm only. All shoot apices bearing terminal corymbose inflorescence. Leaves spreading at 80-90 degrees, obovate, slightly cochleariform, gre-green above, mat mid-green below. Stems brown-yellow green when young aging to grey brown. Stipules appressed to weakly ascendant, dark red brown, darker medially. Inflorescence bracts red-brown to tan-brown. Calyx rose-red at base, pale green then dar brown margins on lobes. Flowers rich-warm (NSW TrainLink) yellow (it honestly is that exact shade), lacking any other pigmentation except a semi-circle of red pigment at the base of standard. Underside of ventral petals yellow-green. |
