Occurrence remarks | Solitary emergent tree 45 m high. Fl. [flowers] yellow. Flutes few, 12 m high, out 30 cm, 4 cm thick. Clear bole 25 m, 30 cm dbh, very straight, with solid core. Outer bark 0.3 mm thick, brownish, not fissured, peeling off slightly. Inner bark 2 mm thick, on section pale cream-coloured, with little dark red watery exudate. Sapwood and heartwood ochre, with gradual transition zone. Vern. Ogurama mabedeka (Tobaro lang). Fruits boiled, used as vegetable. |
