Field notes Trunk single, ca. 1.5 metres high. Fronds spreading, ca. 2 metres long, to 50 cm across at widest point. Scales atr base of frond dark reddish-brown. Pinnae harsh to touch. Upper surface of pinnules mid green and slightly glossy. Lower surface of pinnules paler and dull.
