Only one rosette with infructescence, ca 8 m tall, axis 18 cm diam at base and tapering upward with 18 horizontally held branches each subtended by a large brown dry sagittate bract. Twenty capsules were inspected and all seeds were infertile. Specimen in carpological (dry) collection consists of: 1. small shoot with rhizome fragment attached. 2. slices of large leaf: base, middle, tip (scored to enable drying). 3. one lower inflorescence branch with capsules and basal bract. |
