Organism remarks | Cap: 12-32 mm diameter, convex or more or less plane (generally convex). Olive-brown, hygrophanous with velvet-like surface. Margin incurved in small specimens, entire in plane specimens and striate in larger older specimens, but lighter brown than the rest of the cap. Gills: more or less distant (to close) with two sets lamellulae. Brown with speckled faces and a tan to whitish fimbriate margin. Gills are free to adnate, but may have a decurrent tooth in the plane specimens. Stem: 25-30 mm x 1.5-2.5 mm, usually thickening slightly towards base. Whitish surface with fibrous texture, centre of stem is hollow. White mycelium covers base. Spore print: dark brown. |
