Occurrence remarks This plant is only known from this location in Australia. First collection in flower. Robust mistletoe with epicortical runners. Flowers pinky-red as with buds which have light brown-yellow tops and ovaries. Triads of 3 sessile flowers almost fused. Flowers hidden within canopy of the mistletoe. Flowers face upwards/outwards, not obvious from a distance. Flowers mainly arising from leaf scars with few flowers present with leaves in same axis. Flowers typical {Amyema} - chinese lantern style opening. Petals splayed outwards with tips recurved back on themselves, often to past touching. Anthers bent inwards. New leaves lime-green and leathery. Old leaves tough, thick and somewhat inflexible. Leaves glossy, slightly discolorous (new dull). Growing on POD 271b, Rosewood.
