Field notes Shrub to 5 m high. Upper parts of branches white hairy amongst leaves; stems further back with grey bark that becomes grooved but not papery. Leaves mid green above and below.

Supplied as "No rocks in this area. Aspect: banks of area excavated to build up other areas for housing. Soil type: acid sulphate soil, surface sand white with brown sand just below the surface. Growing with Allocasuarina sp., Acacia sp., Chloris sp. (exotic) and Eragrostis sp. Neighbouring vegetation suggest that the soil is acidic and salty."
