Event remarks | Occasional low shrub not much higher than 40cm forming a conspicuous mono-specific mat over rock pavements around 5 square metres. Unable to determine number of individuals c. 40+. This form (only with fruits) is smaller-leaved than SG616, which occurs at higher elevation above this site. It seems unusual that this species is not listed under the EPBC Act given it's rarity. See also SG651, which grows in the same patch side by side, but has markedly smaller leaves. Despite being occasional at collection site, the species is incredibly rare and has not been sighted as individuals elsewhere, only forms tight populations. |
