Occurrence remarks Trees to 12 m high. Bark on older trees black with shallow tessellated surface, bark on younger trees and branches smooth and dark grey with horizontal bands of whitish grey. Branchlets erect to spreading. Older branchlets grey-green, newer branchlets green and c. 0.5 mm wide. Cones close to stem and brown on upper branches. Larger cones to c. 1.6 cm wide and c. 1 cm wide, closed at this time
