Organism remarks Gregarious. 5-10 mm broad x 4-8 mm, base receptacle to half or just over half way up soft inner sphere, with sandy soil firmly attached; inner sphere pale fawn to almost white, minutely flocculent (x10); ostiole pale yellow ochre to tan, minutely flocculent (x10). Outer receptacle flaring outwards. Stipe: initially short, round, lengthening 8-15 mm, tough, narrow, 1-3 mm broad, with bulbous base, thin rhizomorphs attached. Spore mass rust coloured (Methuen 7D8).
