Occurrence remarks Seen for Flora of Australia. Voucher for SEM photo of seed R.J.F.H. 02/1987. Flora of Australia Project. [The first record of this genus in Victoria. Type of the species came from near head of Meander River, N. Tasmania , by W. Archer 1850-57. Other collections (under 'Caesia parviflora' in Nat. Herb. Melb.) are from Apsley River, E. Tas., and near Braidwood, NSW by A.R. Crawford 1887 and W. Baeuerlen, 1886, resp. The species is anomalous in having the perianth of a Chlorophytum, but the seeds of a Caesia - its is thus as much worthy of distrinct generic rank as is Chamaescilla.] Willis, J.H.
