Organism remarks | On wood (white rot), aggregated, sometimes subcaespitose at base. Centrally- stipitate agaric. Pileus 24-38 mm diam., plane, margin entire, strongly hygrophanous, central 1/3 to 3/4 dark yellow brown (4B5), outer margin dark purplish brown (7F5), marginal 1-2 mm minutely striate. Upper stipe and lamella edges with greenish-blue (24C6) cystidia but in old specimens the colour is washed out; occasionally cap with patches washed the same colour, but apparently not from cystidia. Stipe 18-50 x 2.5-5.0 mm, in lower 1/3-2/3 pale fawn (4A-B3), matted-hirsute with extensive short basal tomentum, upper part initially greenish-blue, becoming dark brown (4F8), minutely hairy from erect caulocystidia. Laemallae pinkish brown (5C4) with green-blue minute cheilocystidia (10X) on edges, colour washing out in age, dense, 3 tiers of lamellae, ca 3/4-4/5 2/3 and 1/8 of way to center, adnexed. Flesh moderately tough, pale pinkish cream, not changing colour 0.8-1.2 thick. Stipe hollow. |
