Occurrence remarks Spreading subshrub to 0.8m. Leaves lobed with dentate margins. Upper surface blue-green, lower surface silvery green, both viscid pubescent. Stems scabrous. Inflorescences axillary and terminal panicles. Male florets in spherical heads. Larger female florets single or several with spiny ovary situated below male heads.
