Occurrence remarks Tree to 15 feet. Not much branched. Leaves crowded at ends of branchlets. Majority with terminal leaflet. Fruit in very dense heads to 8 inches diameter pale green turning red. Leaf scars more or less permanent on branches, lenticels numerous. Larger leaflets up to 5 or 6 inches all with single "tooth" at base. I am interested in this tree (which may be introduced) owing to ease with which it can sometimes be confused with Red Cedar at a distance.
