Occurrence remarks | Ericoid shrublet to 1/2 m high. Flowers in small terminal clusters of frequently 3 staminate and 3 pistillate flowers subtended by broad brown bracts similar to the stipules. Staminate flowers shortly pedicellate with six ligulate free perianth segments, sometimes incurved at summit, white and conspicuous. Stamens 6, with short filaments. Pistillate flowers sessile between the staminate, green and inconspicuous. Perianth segments usually less than six and unequal in size with hyaline and ragged edges. Ovules 6, only one developing in each ovary. |
