Occurrence remarks | Prickly ascendant shrub to 20m high on adjacent trees or other support.More often in gregarious masses ca 10m high, and virtually impenetrable withoutintensive cutting. Leaves with 6-10 pinnae pairs; rachises to 50cm long. Plants in fruit at. time of collection, these fruits at first orange in colour, turningbrown to grey at maturity. 3-8 seeds, olive-grey, dark flecked. An exotic shrubimported in the 1880s as a garden plant. Now spread up to 300m from the houseruins site. |
