Occurrence remarks | Erect herb 30 - 40 cm tall. Culms trigonous, scabrous. Leaves generally shorter than culms, margins with dense retrorse prickles. Spikes numerous. Styles 2-fid. Utricle plano-convex, without thickened truncate base, black at maturity. |
