Occurrence remarks Small tree 5-8 m tall with grey, shallowly fissured bark (to smallest stems). Bark on juvenile plants has conspicuous, brown lenticels. Habit usually single-stemmed. Seeding at a precocious age. Seed crops at peak dehiscence. Pods split to release seeds from dorsal side of pod (seed attachment side).
