Field notes The wood has a strong scent somewhat resembling Santalum but not so agreeable. It often attains to the height of 20 feet with a stem 8 or 10 inches in diameter.

Occurrence remarks I imagine this si also what Mr Landsborough frequently mentions in the journal of the trip from the Gulf of Carpentaria to the Darling as 'The Port Curtis Sandalwood'. [Bowman collected 1862-71.] Seen by Bentham.
