Occurrence remarks Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, Shoalwater Bay, NE of Rockhampton. Beach vine forest, tree species included: Brachychiton rupestris, Corymbia clarksoniana, C. tessellaris, Cupaniopsis anacardioides, Drypetes deplanchei, Eucalyptus crebra, Euroschinus falcatus, Micromelum minutum, Acacia leiocalyx, A. leptocarpa, Petalostigma pubescens, P. triloculare, Sersalisia sericea. Shrubs were: Breynia oblongifolia, Myoporum boninense subsp. australe, Sophora tomentosa subsp. australis, Clerodendrum inerme, Elaeodendron melanocarpum. Vines were: Alyxia stellata, Jasminum didymum, Trophis scandens, Jasminum simplicifolium subsp. australiense. Grasses were: Aristida utilis, Digitaria brownii, Eragrostis speciosa, Eriochloa procera, Paspalidium distans, Paspalum vaginatum. Sedges were: Abildgaardia ovata, Cyperus gracilis, C. leiocaulon, C. squarrosus, Fimbristylis depauperata, F. dichotoma, F. ferruginea. Forbs were: Desmodium heterocarpon var. strigosum, Dianella caerulea, Galactia tenuiflora var. villosa, Zornia dyctiocarpa, Glycine tomentella. Exotic species included: Chloris inflata, Digitaria ciliaris, Lantana camara, Tridax procumbens, Urena lobata, Urochloa decumbens. Parasitic shrub on Sersalisia sericea. Flowers orange-red. Uncommon.
