Field notes Erect, large biennial herb, ca. 2 metres high. Stems hollow, covered with a white tomentum. Leaves very viscid, strongly aromatic, mid-green. Inflorescence fawn-coloured.

Supplied as "Growing in undisturbed coastal scrub. One of the main patches is growing where an old Leptospermum laevigatum had fallen, but otherwise the vegetation is undisturbed, and no recent fires."
