Occurrence remarks Long multi-stemmed with a single broad clover type leaf. Green in colour and sparse. When located in bogs near the lake it can have a quite a thick stem. The stem can grow up to a metre or more but the plant can be fully submerged or breeching the surface. Bright yellow flower with a green cone structure in the centre. Seeds very fine and appear round. When the lake recedes the plant can form a dense mat of smaller leaves, but it does not seem to survive on pasture and seems to need quite, boggy conditions. I would think that it is more of a bog plant with the capacity to survive quite deep water if inundated. Map and photos with collection. Sample 4.
